THE CITY OF CANEY
INVITATION FOR BIDS
Round #2
 
The City of Caney, Kansas, is now soliciting bids for the rehabilitation of properties located at:
 511 N. Wood              521 N. Wood                        504 S. State
 
This rehabilitation work includes general home improvements. Specific work items are listed in the bid specifications.
 
Sealed bids for this work will be received until 10:00 A.M., on the 15th day of March, at City Hall, 100 W. 4th, Caney, Kansas.
 
Interested bidders should make arrangements to attend the Contractor=s Walk-through which will be held on March 3, 2010, beginning at 9:30 A.M. at 511 N. Wood. To submit a bid on the rehabilitation of any of the above homes, a contractor is required to attend the Walk-through on March 3, 2010.
 
To obtain the required bidding package to be used at the walk-through and for submission of bids contact Susan Galemore, Grant Administrator, SEKRPC, 431-0080.
 
The City of Caney will award rehabilitation contracts to qualified businesses/enterprises submitting the lowest qualified bid for the rehabilitation of each individual house. Contractor=s are required to be lead certified.
 
Bids may be held by the City for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of the opening of the bids in order to allow time for reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders prior to awarding the contract.
 
Bids will be opened at City Hall at 10:00 A.M, March 15, 2010.
 
The City of Caney reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
Minority and Women Contractors are encouraged to submit bids.
