Welcome to the website of the Southeast Kansas Regional Planning Commission (SEKRPC).  Our goal, like yours, is to improve the quality of life in southeast Kansas by providing the tools to create and retain jobs and increase the services available in your community.  To accomplish this goal, we offer professional development, planning and management services to local governments, and assist in the administration of local programs and projects.

NOTICE
The final drafts of the hazard mitigation plans for Jasper and Newton Counties are available for public viewing online. Go to the www.hstcc.org website. Send comments to gbottom@hstcc.org before August 27, 2010.
On Thursday, August 19, a meeting of the HSTCC Area Hazard Mitigation Committee will review and accept the plans prior to forwarding on to FEMA for their review and approval.

Copies will be available at the County Clerk's office in the courthouses and at the HSTCC office at 800 E Pennell, Carl Junction, Mo.
A round of public hearings for last opportunity for comment will be on August 26 in the following locations:  (copies will also be available at the public hearings)
9:00 am Joplin – Joplin City Hall basement conference room
11:00 am Carthage- Jasper County Annex 1 Building conference room at 105 N Lincoln
1:00 pm Neosho – Newton County Courthouse conference room
3:00 pm Seneca – Seneca City Hall
